Started from a Love of Games
I’m Matt the owner, and I’ve been collecting, modifying, and emulating retro consoles for over 10 years now. I’ve tried them all, from pricier PC handhelds (eg GPD Win pc handhelds) for emulating, to hacking a Nintendo 3DS…I couldn’t find the ideal portable handheld to play most of my favorite 3D games.
I tried the emulators to play my favorite 3D Legend of Zeldas & PS2 games and although miniscule, I couldn’t get past the stuttering audio, and the occasional lag. Wii Us and PS Vitas were ok, but they just felt super limited – The Wii U couldn’t be more than 15 ft from the console, and the Vita had only a few ps2 ports and streaming games from a PS4 was tedious and didn’t work that great.
Last year, I finally found the solution, and I haven’t looked back: Portablized handheld consoles!
Right now we have portable PS2s, Wiis, and Dreamcasts. I get to play all of my favorite retro games on the go, including those I missed out, and I get to do it as a job! I love to test our new designs and new systems, and I’m always tinkering with whatever software and emulators you can add to these devices.
